Kulich without yeast.

Ingredients:  Easters Kulich without yeast. If you have not a lot free time, you could to cook very tasty cake without yeast.

16 oz flour.
0,5 pint milk.
2 eggs.
1 cup sugar.
2 + 1/2 oz butter.
1/2 cup peeled almonds.
1/2 cup raisins (or berries).
1 lemon (make 4 tsp of juice).
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
vanillin, salt to taste

Method:

1. In a mixing bowl whisk the egg yolks with the sugar and the butter,
add lemon juice.  

2. Combine mixture with the flour, milk, vanillin, raisins and baking soda.

3. In another bowl beat the egg whites with a salt until soft peaks form. And stir into the mixture carefully.

4. Grease the form for Kulich with soft butter, sprinkle with flour and pour in the dough. Bake for 40 minutes.

5. Decorate with almonds and berries.
